If you want to know Islam I would suggest reading the Quran with a good tafsir (commentary) like tafsir of ibn kathir. The Yusuf ali translation of the quran is pretty standard.if you have any questions feel free to ask as I am very familiar with islam.

Understanding Islam by Guillaume Faye is an interesting, if controversial, overview of the subject.

There are some more recent books by Ibn Warraq. I have only read parts of “Why I am not a Muslim” and “The Quest for the Historical Muhammed”, but he has others. He is scholarly, if I remember correctly. Daniel Pipes has written about Islam for decades and has published several books that might be helpful. He might be a bit “USA-yeah yeah!”, though.

If you want to go to videos, David Wood knows a lot about Islam as does James White.

Yes, read the Koran—from the perspective that any supernatural claim made is a lie—that should tell you all you need to know.

Bill Warner has a set of books on the subject matter – particularly on his website “politicalislam.com”. I don’t know is this is the sort of thing you are looking for, but it sounds like it might be in alignment with what has already been mentioned.

Yes. you are right. I know Lothrop Stoddadd’s main work and it is very good. similar to Madison Grant. I just wanted something more updated because a lot of things have happened since then, the capture of Kosovo and major cities in Europe, the end of the Ottoman Empire, etc. and I also think that today we know better about many details that were previously hidden in ancient books, such as enslaved white people (Janissaries), women who were taken into harems of the Persian empire, pedophile marriages, etc.

    Hey Elize,
why does it matter if the book is a little bit older? I assume that L. Stoddard is a very good author, I just ordered a book from him myself. And the races that practice Islam, the muds, and their genetics haven’t changed, so his description should still be up-to-date. Better than a lukewarm book from today, don’t you think?
