“I kind of wanted to cry”

If replacing pews with chairs has such an effect on you, I might wait to talk to you about the Great Replacement of Europe’s peoples…

it’s funny that you think that pews are an intrinsic part of the identity of churches, because for centuries churches didn’t actually have pews or chairs, and the closest thing they were would be a shopping mall: people went in and out of church at will, they ate there and did their business there.

In fact, it was from the Protestant Reformation onwards that the post-Council of Trent Church began to see much longer sermons that forced parishioners to sit down.

The seats in the church were rented out and therefore marked by a clear social structure.

In fact, the pews already marked a certain levelling out because before, the most privileged people had their own private prie-dieu (i.e. chairs) in the front rows.

There was a bit of controversy over the choice of liturgical furniture for the restoration of Notre-Dame, but chairs are incomparably more practical for regular use.

One group activity we should engage in is buying churches, and repurposing them as pro-White private membership ‘community-centers’ that fulfill the positive roles churches have played in past White communities.

Unfortunately I think I’ll be witnessing the same too where I am.So many churches near me have closed(Many judged not to be of the right denomination).

This is part of a wider issue which I call the curse of convenience when centuries of tradition will be stripped away in favour of making areas more “accessible”.

Chairs are more easily arranged for drag shows.

I visited a church today as I like seeing their architecture and how they’re set up, and it saddened me that the church I visited had gotten rid of the iconic and memorable pews, instead they have chairs.

Seeing it just looked like an assembly hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses (I know as my family are and I’ve been to it a couple of times though that ain’t for me).

I kind of wanted to cry, but I’m just so desensitized with how the world is I’m just dried up of tears.
