However, I must point out that America was/is Anglo-Saxon – over 80% of the earliest settlers (of what became the United States) during the 1600s and 1700s were English, Scottish, and/or Welsh. Germans were present since then, too, but their proportion of the population didn’t match and/or exceed the British Anglo-Saxons until more recently. Thanks for sharing your insights with others, here on the forum, nonetheless.

Generally, too, to remind folks: Anglo-Saxons that migrated out of Britain to North America are descendants of German peoples, but who also mixed with the local population of Bretons and, less commonly, Celts and Romans of Great Britain. If you’re old stock American (or Canadian) like me, then I can tell you from my own DNA test results that a large part of you is as German as it is British. What boggles my mind, is that few young people seem to care how members of our White race came to exist (by not race-mixing) in the first place.

Even before the World Wars though, in some places in America English and German were in contest for being the dominant language, and English won out. That’s about all (I think) I know when it comes to German-American roots.
Now Spanish is making headway alongside English, with the millions of Mexicans coming over. I’ve recently started seeing Spanish with English on signage, meant for kids and whomever. It’s surprising.

@Aster and Tony – I know a lot of Germans who gave up their heritage to blend in after / during the world wars. Your thinking sounds accurate, Germans seemed willing to dovetail under the Anglo flag. There in that said, I’ve noticed a significant difference between German lineages that came before and those that came after WWII.

There is the large German component of white Americans, but it might have been subsumed by a conception of being Anglo or having Anglo ties, especially after the world wars with Germany, but I don’t really know. Identity is a funny thing here

To be fair America isn’t anglo-saxon…the largest white population is of german descent as my family is.

America is a colony of europe…historically but also in reality today, we pay taxes to the english crown to this day…organic act 1871 through the FED which is owned by the city of London.

I think most Americans used to consider themselves an Anglo nation; I guess back when whites were 90% of the population in the 60s and earlier. The list of holidays that we have now represents a change in the mythology of American society. From founding fathers, manifest destiny, and Christianity to diversity, multiculturalism, and the opposite of the former. American patriotism is considered laughable today. Even though, when you look at many other countries, their people take great pride in their country, nation/people, land, history, and mythology. It’s been a long process of demoralization, and this shift really became apparent during the BLM riots when 100+ statues/memorials were taken down and destroyed. I think the British and English kernel of America is more and more becoming a distant memory.

Yes, Happy Thanksgiving… the only popular holiday, besides Independence (from anti-White/Liberty tyranny) Day, that I think has serious value for Whites, although, the winter solstice—celebrating the ‘resurrection’ of the sun, and the coming return of Persephone (or life, i.e. the origin of X-mas)—is possibly of greatest value. Let us consider the Winter Solstice to symbolize the peak of the dysgenic anti-life forces, and celebrate the changing of the tides of this eternal war, the coming spring and rebirth of pro-life eugenic forces!
