The ADL and SPLC, who have the ear of big tech, have made the “official” definition of anti-semetism include opposition to Israel. In other words, tons of Jews are anti-semetic by the new standard.

Having been canceled by my close childhood friends on the left, it’s interesting for me to hear that same “shun the non-believer” mentality from conservative America. Whether “racism” or “anti-semetism”, same circuitry.

A christian conservative I know from work has invited me to see some national-level conservative presenters at his church; Dennis Prager, Eric Metaxis, and similar. I see this pattern each time.
Phase 1) flatter the audience.
Phase 2) bash on their enemies.
Phase 3) make your enemies out to be their enemies.
Dennis, not long after talking about emotionally manipulative tactics of leftists, was able to sell a bunch of the audience on the premise that Iran opposes Israel simply because they’re evil. I thought that was too baby-brained to work. It wasn’t.

We’re in a struggle for existence. I’d start viewing your cousin less like a person and more like a citizen unit to flip. She presumably has income, votes, and talks to people around her. Maybe she can also, over the course of 2 hours, be flattered, fed some confirmation bias, and then injected with thoughts she didn’t previously hold. I feel dirty for even suggesting it, and it’s easy for me to say when I’ve never done anything like this, but what is she to you now? A somewhat estranged family member? Not a lot of value in a relationship with someone that coldly regards you as with the enemy figure. If instead you can baby step her to “there’s good jews and bad jews, and the bad jews are behind liberalism”, then that can build into “Look at the Jewish role in socialism”, and eventually “The Talmud is all about enslaving the gentiles”. If you get to that last point, you don’t even need to attack Trump or her tribal identity (Republicans). She could hypothetically be made into a pro-white asset. Is she worth the effort? I don’t know, but you have rapport for being a family relation.

You might want to get to a space with them that’s without emotional agitation or negative pre-judgment if you want to talk reasonably to each other. They may feel that their world views are at risk of getting disrespected – they could feel disrespected in some way. Maybe by showing you care about them, they’ll be more receptive.

Unfortunately, the mental biasing has been going on for a long time in the West. It wouldn’t matter what the dominant religion is, outside forces would try to co-opt themselves into controlling it. We also don’t really teach history, so people are easy prey. Unfortunately.

Perhaps ask her questions. One question could be about not making false idols out of people, such as middle easterners. Another question could be whether these people believe in Christ? If they reject Christ, then why follow them?

Christians like myself find it strange to make idols out of mortals. Further to idolize a people whos defining group religious identity involves rejecting Jesus, the centre of Christianity. I would stress that point in the form of questions. Questions that stop and make her think. Christianity doesn’t put people on pedestals, much less co-opt one civilization to serve another. Christians believe that the only king is Christ. No one else. Where does it say that anyone else is to rule? Much less someone simply because of their middle eastern descent.

Leo, it sounds to me like you are trying to speak to your cousin from your reference point of understanding. You should try to speak to her from her reference point of understanding. For whatever reason, through whatever mechanisms, these foreign groups have made residency in Western civilization. While this may be obvious to you and me, the biasing is strong for a lot of people. Its hard to get people to stretch outside their norms.

@Wakstar Lol, my 50ish-year-old female cousin in Sequim is extremely pro-Trump, and hasn’t treated me with the same respect or interest ever since she learned I’m an ‘anti-Semite’ (which I’m not, but that’s what she thinks I am) exposing the Jewish problem and White genocide. She’s become so politicized and refuses to tolerate anyone in her life who doesn’t align exactly with what Trump preaches, like what he did in this video. So, when we have Trump making statements like this, convincing so many White American Republican Christians that Israeli Jews’ Zionism is a special cause to defend, anyone in opposition to it (me, for example) is treated like a threat. I wonder if she’s ever noticed Biden and Harris (two people she hates) also worshipping and protecting Zionist Jews. I also had to laugh at how pissed she got when I told her that I refuse to vote for anybody who doesn’t share my same race, alongside a mention of, “I’m not going to empower someone who isn’t of my race to rule over me” – not that voting matters anyway, ha. But she doesn’t even want to talk to me anymore, just as my mother doesn’t, all over this whole Jew ordeal. Their hearts and minds are definitely captured by the enemy, unfortunately to the extent they’re willing to betray their own family members. So strange.
