Liv answered me and, unfortunately, a problem on the platform used, ‘buddypress’, does not allow this kind of ranking by the most recent comment.

Only groups can be ranked this way. Too bad but we’ll have to deal with it.

Some groups do not have a forum function at all

You’re right, it was implemented after my request, because i didn’t see any point to have ‘groups’ without this function of communicating.

What I don’t understand is people are still now suscribing to certains groups without having any kind of activities on it. it’s called groups, not ‘hobbies’ and the titles of it are quite clear about it (‘white delight’ as an example)

What’s not awesome is for the few that want to do this,

Trends have to be pushed sometimes. there is no reason to imagine that ‘our people’ are fundamentally different from the rest of the population : they love to gather to things that already working and full of activities instead of creating them by themselves.

I will PM to Liv – again – about the simple idea of ranking the forums by the last activity. it will help people to see there is more life here than in Mars.

I hear you, Oscar. I’ve taken to the forums a good deal. And we needed to hear that. To me, the forums are just as exciting, if not more so, than the looking for a lover. We get to kick around ideas to do something and just get to commune with each other. That’s awesome. What’s not awesome is for the few that want to do this, and not many are answering. Especially for the ‘white delight’ sections, there’s only a handful or less of people up to a meetup within an area of hundreds of miles. That’s disconcerting, all right. I plan on staying on here and supporting this as long as I can.

I have a suggestion, and I can tell it to Liv. To show notifications of new responses to members in a particular forum that they have previously talked in themselves. It’s a little annoying to keep trying to look in your former forums every time to see if there are any new replies and to not find any. If that’s too big of a deal to do for here, than forget it, of course. But, thanks for the pep talk! It’s gotten me more motivated again.

Indeed that may be the case. Some groups do not have a forum function at all, for some reason. For example White Delight Sweden and Natural Health.

Indeed, you can’t. that’s not the way here. Liv have everytime implemented every way of amelioration which was suggested to her (the forum part of the groups and a update about the last forums posts were mine) so I’m sure she will do the same with your suggestions (PM her, she doesn’t always read forums).

Anyway, the cunmbersomeness of the forum poart doesn’t explain why, although epople susbscrived to a linguistic I’m not visiting WD that much but I had promised to answer to any grammar/language question about my idiom. I’m not much into pop-rock music but I’ll post some of the current – and past – French and francophone musical stage. you’ll decide about the cringeness of it.

The way these boards work is not very intuitive. The list of member profiles takes precedence over posted content in a group, and groups get sorted from newest to older not by post but by member. On top of that the forum function doesn’t get promoted adequately, I myself discovered it by accident.
It’s a cumbersome way to navigate the place, but I can’t complain, Liv has a baby to take care for and her developer is not available for the time being.

That said, instead of lamenting the autism of people, you could post french music that doesn’t suck in the music forum 😛 I’ve been searching for french language songs on Youtube and they’re either cringy as hell or by Afro Arabs.

There’s almost hundred people who joined this group and there is almost zero interaction since its beginning.

What’s the meaning of subscribing to a group if it’s just a series of autistic comments which are, at best, a kind of script for a new play by Beckett.

you cannot cry and lament over the disintegration of traditional societies or the atomization of contemporary individuals and contemplate all this while making absolutely no effort yourselves hoping that others will solve all these problems for you.

It won’t happen, and this is the center of the cause explaining the current state of our societies.
