I just seen and heard Handel’s Messiah last night at the Orchestra. I didn’t know it was going to be so good. I was wondering if they were going to have a choir there and they did. The ‘Hallelujah’ part was awesome with them. It’s a good one to hear, if you’re wondering.
A fun challenge that I recently completed was to go year-by-year, starting with 1960 (an arbitrary launching point), and select your favorite song released that year. By the time you’re done, you have an awesome playlist of ~60 songs that can take you on a trip through the ages.
Coincidentally–if your musical tastes are anything like mine–it basically turns into a playlist full of white artists and a celebration of our music. Admittedly, I think one or two early Motown hits by black artists made my list–but I’m happy to give credit where credit is due.
A very motivating tune from Xurious, I hope you find this as uplifting as the creator intended. This is an open thread, I very much encourage you to participate by posting music that resounds with you.
