Hi Ergo, it seems that if I am the only one connected to the chat, my app has to be active and internet connected, since SimpleX is a true P2P service. I am calling on all members of Phoenix to please join the chats and spread the links! If we can’t even have secure digital communications and/or nobody has anything to say, what are we even doing?

My general impression is that good Indians cost at most a third of a Westerner. As far as I can see, this entire project runs on a shoestring budget, also due to the inability to advertise, so Western developers could only do it for almost free, or at least, not for enough money to sustain a living in the West. The other issue is: Who/where is it more likely that someone grabs the site to shut it down? Many of us have repressive governemnts breathing down our necks.

@ergo, I was under the impression that the owner used Indian developers because no wester developers would help. Where did you hear that she went that route for cost?

@ergo, I see, I suppose my phone has to be on (or another member) to use Simplex since it is peer-to-peer with no central server.

In a interview I watched she said that she hired Indian developers to build this website because they were cheaper.

I wasn’t very happy about hearing that.

I remember the owner of this site saying a while back that she was having trouble finding white web developers who would help with this site. Maybe that has something to do with it.

This problem was brought to the attention of the owner of WhiteDate some months ago – she is aware – but why it remains unresolved, I do not know. I assume that the delay in addressing this issue of being limited to the first page of forum threads is because of the web developers’ (who are other people that the owner relies upon) inaction or inability to figure out a resolution.

Same. So what is the problem? I’m a member of the different groups I’ve posted in yet still cannot see the second page of any thread.
