Fair enough, Hunter; although I will suggest that some folks, myself included, are more open and willing than others to travel long-distance for the purpose of meeting extraordinary people (even if they have no chance of being a potential partner). I love to travel and meet with people of all walks of life, especially if we can engage in the social process of learning something mutually beneficial. I have been doing that across the past decade of my life, traveling domestically and abroad to ~75 countries, exposing myself to so much more than I otherwise would have encountered online. To each their own, of course, but I’m definitely open to meeting with almost any friendly and interesting community member here, regardless of background, gender, or location.

@Leo, in my opinion, since conversations can be had digitally, there has to be a serious and real reason to meet up IRL especially if it takes more than an hour by car to meet. For-example, if a potentially attractive woman I found on this site wanted to try out ‘married life’ for a week without the legal complications, I would consider long-distance travel.

I am a transplant to the Pacific Northwest, and reside in western Washington. I travel interstate very frequently, and am curious about the worldviews and circumstances of others in the region, if any wish to meet up and have healthy conversations. Learning is very much a social process, and I sense we all have something to teach one another.
