Nothing is more truly beautiful and spectacular as nature. I’ve taken up foraging with a fervor this year, which has afforded me countless moments of awe. Almost all of the times I’ve headed into the forest, I’ve had the joy of being unexpectedly surrounded by wild horses. Having grown up on a farm, this is something I’d thought was a myth and the product of wishful thinking. And yet here they are, wild and free. Other than preserving our race, I live to learn the medicine and spirit of the forest and prairie and share that wisdom with my family and our greater family. Here’s to getting back to our nature and living wild and free! O/

It’s the Austrian in me that can tolerate the summer’s heat but it is the Nordic in me that loves fall and winter. Wishing you all the joy and beauty of the season.

@Wakstar As someone else presently residing in the northern hemisphere, I share your outlook about the season we’re entering into nowadays. I enjoy taking road-trips around the North American continent during autumn – it’s especially colorful, and I appreciate the calming cool-down and changes it brings. I’m not especially attentive to all the finer details, but I do appreciate the changing of the seasons throughout the year. It’s a nice way to see the life-cycles of other living organisms, as much as ourselves. I’m looking forward to some camping and hiking out there, to be immersed in the natural beauty we’re so fortunate to have.

Enjoy your adventures and family gatherings, everybody.

I don’t like hot weather, at all, so I love the onset of fall and feeling that nice cool air.

How about something light hearted? What are your favourite things about fall?

I’ll go first. I love harvest. I love how the air changes and the days are not as long as summer and I love harvesting the fruits of my labor. It’s always sad to think that summer has come to an end, but there’s always next growing season to look forward to. It’s beautiful where I live so long aimless drives to catch the short bursts of fall colour are in order.

If you are in the Northern Hemisphere, I hope you enjoy the season.
