We could begin by just meeting for a chess game at a coffee shop table. We don’t even have to finish the game, just play and talk about the World, get to know the other person a bit and part ways. Nothing serious, just some fun chess and coffee.

I think a White chess club for Southern California is a brilliant idea. I grew up playing chess, I love the game. It can lead to some animosity between players though as it is a really pure intellectual test and can be embarrassing. So within good natured moderation.
