I don’t shy away from discord, seeing as how you can make accounts WITHOUT a phone number, and using temp mail service like GMX.
Telegram you can’t, it wants a valid cell phone number, I,e,. Connected to your real name and financial digital presence.

There are far better and more secure communication platforms; wire, matrix/element etc,.
I have used Discord as a lobby of sorts, say you start a free speech server with some other comfy tags, you’ll get a bunch of spergs, and from the chaff you will get a couple kernels of usable wheat.

Trouble with my “server” was it drew people from almost everywhere except my region.
So I found people in my region, that follow my regional doctrine. It was INCREDIBLY difficult to track them down. Sorry for resurrecting this thread, I just wanted to weigh in on the anti discord/pro telegram.
