Hello to whomever may be reading.
I am someone who is, at the moment, very much immersed in polite, everyday Canadian society, very far from the ”neotraditional white community” we likely all share a longing for. For the last 3 summers I have worked in Northern Ontario in Forestry, and I plan to do so again this summer. I am also a writer and journalist, currently working part time at Queens Park in Toronto covering provincial parliament. Currently, I am finishing a masters degree in political science, where I am writing a thesis which argues that Canada does not constitute a ”political community” defined by German philosopher Carl Schmitt.
I am one for adventure but I am also one for stability and community building, and would very much like to raise a family one day. Above all, I would like to be a part of a community that recognizes a set of collective values greater than oneself, and which treats these values as representing the Divine Will which every member is tied to. The family I wish to raise will practice traditions inherited from the British Isles, as well as those developed in Canada.
I am of majority Scottish heritage on my father and mothers side, though like most ”white” Canadians there are other elements within me (English, Welsh, Irish, and likely French). I was raised Anglican but have been exploring other dominations such as Anabaptist, Lutheran, and several non-denominational churches. I am also open to older, pagan ideas. Ultimately I am looking to get in touch with divinity.
My favourite books are Moby Dick, Don Quixote and Decline of the West.
To a partner I can not promise I will make endless amounts of money. I am also not one for living in luxury (though I do think it is important to celebrate occasions). What I can promise is my devotion, and a pact that I will provide for my wife, my children, and my brethren/community more broadly.
