I am a lifelong martial artist (40+ years into it now)- this has been my path since childhood, and is now my occupation. My formative years and young adulthood were spent in a very, very strict and traditional dojo, where the values of Honor, Courage, Integrity, and Self Discipline were learned and integrated into my way of life. The additional training I have received in the decades since then has re- enforced these bedrock principles, especially as I reestablished my connections to my European heritage and applied it to my own Warrior Path. These critical Warrior Virtues define how I perceive the world around me, and how I walk my own path. My role as a teacher of the Martial Way very much defines who I am. As I have gotten re-connected with my Celtic roots, I have integrated and deeply established many of my ’re-awakenings’ into my martial arts teaching (from actual weapons, to philosophy and meditation techniques). This is of course always a work in progress- my Martial Way is organic and ever-growing, and those roots strengthen and deepen with everyone I teach and guide along this path.
For years I also served as a ’protector in the shadows’- applying my decades of in depth training (including academic) into international executive protection. I have since walked away from that part of the path, and now am only a teacher.
Things that I enjoy when I’m not teaching/training/brandishing one of my many weapons: cooking, gardening, history, foreign languages, reading, hiking, taking my dog for walks, music (classic rock, classical, and Celtic), and DYI projects (I really, really love to BUILD THINGS!!!!!!!!). I do like to laugh, and despite my serious and focused nature at times, I do like to relax, kick back and have a good time ( life is way too short to take ourselves too seriously all of the time). I am a huge believer in Balance in all Things, and try to practice that in all aspects of my life.
I very loosely can be described as ’pagan’, but a more apt description would be Traditional Celtic Reconstructionist Heathen. Yeah, ’Celtic Heathen’ flows off the tongue much easier. I do have a bit of Scandinavian and Germanic blood as well, so I feel ’heathen’ does apply. In a nutshell, I connect to and integrate the cultures and spiritual traditions of my ancient Celtic European ancestors. Unlike some self-proclaimed ’pagans’ I am not anti-Christian in any way. In fact I think we should stand together, though our spiritual circles may be separate. Along with the ever-growing Celtic Warrior tradition I walk and teach with my martial way, my observance of traditional ’pagan’ Irish/pan-Celtic spiritual traditions is a way I seek to preserve my heritage.
Full Disclosure: I am a vehement defender of gun rights and the Second Amendment, and an unapologetic ’Alt-Right’-er (formerly an unapologetic Conservative). Yes, a Conservative Pagan!!! We do exist……..
Well, that’s enough for an intro. Have a great day, and walk your path true…..

I love the natural majesty of Lake Powell (Arizona/Utah), I have been going there my whole life. I have traveled quite a bit internationally in the past, but still I very much prefer the subtle beauty that Nature provides, whether it's the Sonoran Desert, or mountains and forest. My 'bucket list' includes visiting Ireland and Iceland , two places I have never been to. Poland is also very much a place I want to visit.
