I grew up in Europe, and moved around a bit for school and work, but this area is starting to feel like home. After working for two startups over the past 5 years, I decided to start my own software company. We develop machine learning software for the financial services sector. Being your own boss has its perks and challenges. I relish pushing myself out of my comfort zone constantly. Traveling, especially if it’s on short notice – or on a whim, the kind where you look on Expedia to see where the good flights are – is my idea of fun. Less visited destinations usually turn out great if you keep an open mind. Argentina and India are at the top of my list right now. One of my dreams is to own a winery and make my own Malbec. Wine-making is something I used to do with my grandfather a while ago, so this would be a way to recapture some of that magic. I stay active and spend a fair bit of time outdoors, especially during the weekend. Being in nature and looking at birds or other animals reminds me of how small and transient most things are in life. I also do Muay Thai 2 or 3 nights during the week, it surely does help with expending some of the pent-up energy acquired after a day spent in front of a computer 😉 About what I’m looking for: I will not make a list, because I do not fall in love with a list of attributes, but with a real person whose aura and character so resonates with me. What matters most is how we make each other feel, the excitement, energy, passion, tension, and simply enjoying each other’s company.
