About me (Minimum 50 Characters, Maximum 500 Characters)

I don’t know what normal is anymore.
When I lived in the US, I’d eat scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast. I’d look for Easter Eggs on that the Easter Bunny hid in April celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks and took part in the nativity play before Christmas.
And I thought I knew what normal was.
But when I moved to Paris, that changed. For breakfast I’d eat a croissant, drink a glass of milk, and eat a little veal and some rice. I’d say, ”Bonjour” to the bus driver and ”Au Revoir” to my teacher as I left school. I’d buy my friends chocolate poisson for Easter, watch the country celebrate Bastille Day, and open one present on Christmas Eve. L’escargot were delicious with enough garlic butter and salt.
And I thought I knew what normal was.
When I lived in London, however, I didn’t take the bus to school because I slept there. That’s right, boarding school. Tea and crumpets greeted me in the common room after a ’hard’ days’ learning while bangers and Mash became my breakfast of choice.. I learned to fit watching people gossip about the royale family into my schedule (pronouncing the sch as a ’sh’). Turned out, despite speaking English my whole life, I didn’t quite know it as well as I thought. Chiswick was pronounced ’Chizick’ and Leicester Square might as well have been spelled ”Lester Square”.
And I thought I knew what normal was.
But then I moved back to America what I formerly thought of home struck me as a new world. Who are these strange, new people? And then it hit me.
I don’t know what normal is anymore.
